Continúa el descenso del consumo de frutas y hortalizas.
Según informa FEPEX, durante el mes de mayo, el consumo de frutas y hortalizas ha a descendido un 8% respecto al mismo periodo del año anterior. Se suma así un mes más a la tendencia negativa de los primeros meses del año descendiendo tanto el volumen como el gasto en los hogares.
Las altas temperaturas alcanzadas en los meses de junio y julio, pueden ayudar a la recuperación del consumo en estos meses. El Ministerio de Agricultura, por su parte, ha puesto en marcha una campaña, con fondos europeos, para la promoción del consumo de frutas y hortalizas frescas.
